Camera Surveillance
Camera
systems or "CCTV Systems" are meant to be visual
assessment tools that provide proper identifiable and/or
descriptive information either during and/or after the fact.
CCTV can be used in many areas of a security system, for a variety
of tasks, making it an important and indisputable element.
But the actual quality of visual information you receive is
determined by the lens position of view. The
camera is selected for its sensitivity to the light available in
the target area, and its image quality and lastly for its
features. Examine some typical views that might be necessary
in a commercial type system.

Identification
|
|

|
|
The
ability to view a scene displayed on camera and positively
distinguish the scene beyond the shadow of a doubt. Often
more than one scene can appear the same when viewed on CCTV.
In addition to camera clarity, there should also be a way to
distinguish one similar scene from another.
Properly
designed systems can aid in controlling time clock fraud, false
personal injury, job productivity, data theft, pilferage,
work-place violence and other areas that can affect company
financial stability.
